This is considered to be a rare essential oil and it has a special, magical and pale blue color. It is actually a beautiful plant that it itself is a unique shade of silvery, blue. It contains a sesquiterpene, guaiazulene, which is responsible for its blue tint. This constituent is actually made during the heating and distillation, as it is not present in the fresh plant material. It is used for its sweet, lemony aroma, which is balancing and grounding.
