Dead “Red” Nettle Discussion:

An herb that is the first to pop up in the Spring, easy to find, identify, process, harvest, and dry to have your own year’s supply of potent, medicinal tea!

Dead “Red” Nettle can be found nearly anywhere from Spring, through June. Most websites say they are out all summer but here on the east coast, they go dormant mid-summer. They are an excellent herb to harvest for use all throughout the year. Bees and chickens love them too! Children use the square stems as whistles. It is an herb that turns the winter fields purple, sparking curiosity, even for adults!

We discovered this to be amazing for mucus and Rope Worm support throughout the years. It is a staple in some of our most potent products. Its astringent (mucus-drying) actions may offer much more because as we dry up mucus, we destroy the foundation pathogenic community’s communication within the biofilm matrix. It is considered to be a diuretic (promotion of urine and sweat), which is highly detoxifying to the urinary system and whole body.

It is used by many herbalists as a gentle and effective kidney cleanse and overall urinary system rinse. It may also promote bile secretion. The bile ducts may become blocked and congeal with pathogenic activity. Bile promotion may help to purge matter from within those channels.

We use dead nettle specifically for its intestinal, lymphatic, and spleen support. It may also be useful for diarrhea, bowel regulation, astringent compounds, purifying and detoxifying, promoting bile, expectorant, diuretic (urine-promoting), sleep-inducing, blood flow regulation, swelling, inflammation, chest/breast, as a tonic, varicose veins, urinary bladder and kidney problems, menstrual disorders, diarrhea, abnormal vaginal discharges, prostate gland complaints, minor cuts and wounds, lung issues, and to assist with blood vessel constriction.
Dead nettle is dense in tannins and saponins that offer gentle expectorant action. Many consume the leaves of dead nettle in the form of a potherb. Henbit is a plant that is often mistaken as dead nettle. It has benefits, yet they are entirely different plants. Product Variations:

We offer every herb in multiple variations. For example, you can get it as a standard tincture, oxygenated tincture, glycerite, herbal tea, encapsulated, or as a loose powder. We highly recommend getting at least two variations of the preferred blend, to achieve saturation.

Standard Tincture Herbal compounds extracted in an alcohol base. Alcohol may offer superior absorption rates. We recommend allowing your dose to sit under the tongue for 3+ minutes, then swallowing it down with water or juice.  Microscopic compounds are bioavailable, readily available to be absorbed through tissues, into the bloodstream, then circulated to the organs. We wildcraft aerial parts of calendula, in flower, and grind it down to tincture.

Oxygenated Tincture – This is a standard tincture that is put through an oxygenation process, adding an oxygen molecule to the present herbal compounds. We collide the herbal compounds with oxygen molecules, to encase them both within an oxygenated bubble. The difference can be clearly seen because the tincture lightens in color. The lipospheres’ may have the capability to surpass the bioavailability of a standard tincture, although it exhibits all of the same benefits. We wildcraft aerial parts of calendula, in flower, and grind it down to tincture.

Glycerite – Herbal compounds extracted in vegetable glycerin. This variation is ideal for children and those sensitive to the alcohol because it has no alcohol, no sugar. It has a taste resembling syrup. Doses are approximately 2-3 times higher than a tincture so that you receive similar benefits. They can be taken in the same way as tinctures, which is in 4 oz. of water, juice, or a smoothie. We wildcraft aerial parts of calendula, in flower, and grind it down to create glycerites with them.

Vegetarian Capsule – Size 00, vegetarian capsules, hand-encapsulated, to order. The capsule is swallowed with at least 4 oz. of water or juice. Agrimony grinds down to a fluffy powder. We wildcraft aerial parts of calendula, in flower, and grind it down to encapsulate.

Herbal TeaTea bags are handmade to order. Each bag can be brewed up to three times. Constituents will be continually extracted with each brew. Be sure to squeeze the bag gently upon finishing your cup of lovely tea. The label specifies the brewing instructions, which highly depends on the parts of the plant that are used in the tea. It may be best to drink as is, without adding a sugar substitute. Don’t forget the medicinal residue that settles to the bottom of the cup! We wildcraft aerial parts of calendula, in flower, and grind it down to bag as herbal tea.

Loose Herbal Powder – We take pride in the freshness and quality of our herbs. They are hand-ground, to order. Most of our herbs are wildcrafted by us. If we must purchase them, we first choose them in their whole form. We feel that ethically wildcrafted is superior, ensuring a denser content of medicinal compounds, freshness, as well as higher enzymatic/antioxidant activity. Wildcrafting also allows us to include as many parts as possible. We always indicate wildcrafted with the abbreviation “WC”. We wildcraft aerial parts of calendula, in flower, and grind it down to order.

Skin Salve – Our oil-based salve base that we use is the same as our Remed~Ease salve base and scented with our Calendula essential oil. It contains bloodroot and the resins of frankincense & myrrh. We wildcraft the aerial parts of calendula and infuse the salve, to order.

Infused Oil – We delicately infuse sunflower oil with the wildcrafted, aerial parts of calendula, in flower. It is scented with our Calendula essential oil.

Organic Soap – We offer infused, organic soap in 8 oz. portions. This is two 4 oz. bars. It is scented with our Calendula essential oil. We wildcraft the aerial parts in flower of calendula and infuse our soap, to order.

All variations are animal & child-safe, at the appropriate dosage. It is up to you to do your own research to know if the herbs themselves are safe for the babes. We have created a child’s herbal dosage guide, which can be seen by Clicking Here

Always use herbs wisely and with common sense, as they are to be respected. Most of our herbs and products have been tested by an energetic practitioner, using a bio resonance scanning system.
