Description

Helichrysum Discussion:

We offer two variations of helichrysum:

1. Wildcrafted Helichrysum, luteo-album, in full-spectrum + flower form. Also known as “Jersey Cudweed”, which is a native herb on the Eastern Coast of the United States. It is only by us finding it in the wild.

2. Helichrysum italicum flower only, also known as “Curry Plant” or “Italian Everlasting”, which is the species commonly used to make essential oils with. It is s primarily known for its aromatic compounds, mostly used for making essential oil, skincare, aromatherapy, anti-inflammatory, skin healing, and some pain relief. Helichrysum luteo-album, or Cudweed has historical uses more focused on respiratory health and mild digestive support. All variations can be made with this flower.

While it may be confusing to some, we did not want to disappoint. Most that would come to this website for “Helichrysum” would be looking for the medicinal flowers. On the other hand, we have been approached for Jersey Cudweed specifically. Since they are both helichrysum’s, we decided to combine them on the same page, yet offer them separately, or even together!

I knew the second that I wild-growing helichrysum, that there was something very special about it. It is rare to see such a beautiful, silvery, soft plant such as this. It really stands out in the crowd!

Jersey Cudweed, or wild helichrysum is used medicinally to treat parasites and pain of the sciatic nerve when pain is associated with numbness. Helichrysum species are known for their aromatic constituents and this particular one specializes in respiratory health and conditions such as coughs, bronchitis, and asthma. It is believed to have expectorant properties that may help with clearing mucus from the airways.

It is also a well-known anti-inflammatory, with many uses in topicals, poultice applications, or in creams for soothing skin inflammations, such as rashes or irritations. It may act as a digestive aid, traditionally consumed as an herbal tea to help ease digestive discomfort and support gastrointestinal health. Lastly, it has diuretic properties and is believed that jersey cudweed may have diuretic effects, potentially aiding in the increased production of urine and assisting with mild edema or fluid retention.

Product Variations:

We offer every herb in multiple variations. For example, you can get it as a standard tincture, oxygenated tincture, glycerite, herbal tea, encapsulated, or as a loose powder. We highly recommend getting at least two variations of the preferred blend, to achieve saturation.

Standard Tincture Herbal compounds extracted in an alcohol base. Alcohol offers a superior absorption rate. We recommend allowing your dose to sit under the tongue for 3+ minutes, then swallowing it down with a drink of water. Otherwise, you may add it to 4 oz. of water, juice, or a smoothie. Microscopic compounds are readily available to be absorbed through tissues, into the bloodstream, and then circulated to organs.

Herbosomal/Lipospheric Tincture – This is the standard tincture, put through an energetic process. We collide the herbal compounds with oxygen and essential oil molecules, entrapping them within an oxygenated bubble. The process can be seen because the tincture lightens in color. The lipospheres’ may have the capability to surpass the bioavailability of a standard tincture, although it exhibits all of the same benefits.

Glycerite – Herbal compounds extracted in vegetable glycerin. This contains NO alcohol and NO sugar. The taste of glycerin resembles syrup, which makes it ideal for children. This version may be best for those highly sensitive or are seeking a nonalcoholic extraction. Doses may need to be up to three times higher than a tincture to receive similar benefits. They can be taken in the same way as tinctures, which is in 4 oz. of water, juice, or a smoothie.

Herbal TeaTea bags are handmade to order and can be brewed up to three times each. The constituents will be continually extracted with each brew. Be sure to squeeze the bag gently upon finishing your cup of lovely tea. The label specifies the brewing instructions, which highly depends on the parts of the plant that are used in the tea. Keep in mind, this is medicinal tea and there are no additives. It may be best to drink as is, without adding a sugar substitute. Don’t forget the slurry, medicinal residue that settles to the bottom of the cup! Only the “italicum” species, flower only, will come as herbal tea.

Cut & Sifted Herb – With the gummy cloves inside of the garlic bulbs, we do not dry nor powder black garlic down. Therefore, we have whole, intact black garlic bulbs, including the outer husk and the inner basal plate. They are broken down into small pieces for you. I believe every part of the plant has something to offer, including the husks. The husk will also help to preserve and keep your garlic fresh. You can open them as needed. Only the “italicum” species, flower only, will come as herbal powder. When it comes to bagging tea with plant material such as flowers like this, 1 oz. portions may make many, many teabags. Much more than other parts of the plant!

Topical Ointment – An oil-based salve infused with Black Garlic, and it is scented with our Helichrysum essential oil.

Infused Oil – We delicately infuse sunflower oil with every part of the intact bulb! It is an amazing, infused oil to use! It is scented with our Helichrysum essential oil.

Organic Soap – We offer infused, organic soap in 8 oz. portions. This is two 4 oz. bars. It is scented with our Helichrysum essential oil.
